I seem to be a little confused...I know it's almost New Year's and I'm talking about Halloween.
All these stitcheries were finished - well you know "finished" - in my world that means the stitching was done and they were sitting in my cross stitch basket.
In order to really finish them, the sewing machine needed to be set up, backings chosen and directions followed.
If you've followed me for some time you know I'm not a big finisher. I love the stitching part, it's the completion that drags on.
Harvest Drumroll - Stacy Nash Primitives Pattern
Love the colors on this one - rust, old gold and brown.

From the same booklet -
Come Mortal Man
I guess I was on a Stacy Nash kick! This last finish is also from Stacy - Blackwork Treat Bag and mini pin keeps.
A freebie from Stacy that I stitched using hand-dyed floss. Follow this LINK to Stacy's blog for the pattern.
Happy New Year!

They turned out great! I'm like you, I'm not one for the finishing parts like putting backings on and such, but I love the stitching part!
ReplyDeleteThey are all wonderful, sweet little pillow stitchery, Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! All great finishes.
ReplyDeleteWonderful finishes. I am not good at the finishing part, either. I have at least 6 rugs to bind and countless cross stitches waiting for a real finish. Maybe next year...lol!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Ann.
Hugs :)

Love the old fashioned feel of these patterns, esp. the first one, very appealing!
ReplyDeleteLove your stitcheries, you are one talented lady! hugs, Lecia
ReplyDeleteYou have company! lol! My machine is in a case because I do not have the space to have it out all the time. So, when it does get set up, I do ALL the sewing that has been piling up! lol! Your finishes are wonderful! That Stacy Nash Halloween booklet is a favorite.
ReplyDeleteWonderful finishes! After Halloween is before Halloween! ;o) Yes, you are not alone with the "last" finish... I, too, have difficulties to really finish my work... :o) Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Happy New Year!

Wow...what a great "early" start on Halloween! They are all wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

Too funny...are we sisters!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI have many, many things all worked up but not the finishing touches on them. I, like you, enjoy the basic part but I have to set up the machine too and I'm NOT A MACHINE LOVER....if I could 'finish' off my pieces by hand I would.
Blessings to you and your family
HAPPY NEW YEAR
