Updates on My UFO's

I still haven't posted all my own projects from my Procrastinator's Challenge. Here's an update on my own projects that I completed, both of these are free patterns from http://www.rainbowgallery.com/freechartdownloads.cfm?ID=11. Both are Erica Michael's designs. I'm really drawn to the pineapple lately. Do you know that it was the symbol of hospitality in New England in colonial times? The frame on this one was an ugly peach color, glossy and just plain gross, but I loved the wide frame with the square opening. I knew I'd find a use for it. Not sure where it is going to end up. I'll have to play around with some different locales. My friend, Terry at http://www.bigcityprims.blogspot.com/ has a new term for this, "Tweakitis". She's been arranging and rearranging her prim goodies. Be sure to check out her blog.

I'd started the reindeer over Christmas Vacation, just needed to put on the backing and coffee stain it. It's always fun to put away holiday pieces throughout the year and then pull them out "brand new" when December rolls around.

Cathy, at http://www.tolentreasures.blogspot.com/ wants to have another Procrastinator's Challenge - she's posted about it on her blog - check it out. Maybe I'll do it again if there's enough interest, let me know, or Cathy - I'd be happy to pass the torch to her!

Tonight my project is figuring out how to cast off circular looms - I have made a scarf, but don't want to remove it the same way as a hat. I've been looking at youtube videos for help. If anyone knows a good video for me to watch on the internet, let me know. Thanks. ~Ann

  1. I can not even imagine that frame being glossy peach! YUCK
I love the way paint changes the look of something hideous and makes it beautiful...kind of like what makeup does for me! LOL
The wide frame is perfect for that colonial stitchery...which by the way looks fantastic!

  2. I LOVE that pineapple stitchery! (frame too :))

    Enjoy your day-Kath

  3. I really love the pineapple sampler! have no idea what cast off circular looms are. When it comes to knitting I am clueless.

  4. Love the pineapple cross stitch sampler so much that I printed one off just now:) yours turned out fantastic and the frame made it even better.

  5. stopping in t say hello and let you know that I Love the pineapple and the reindeer have a blessed day
