Since Thursday I have been without my Internet, cable and phone. All three are bundled with one carrier - maybe this is a mistake... My DH called the company Thursday night, they said they would send someone out Friday morning and that our line had a dead spot in it. Well that technician fixed everything!!!! Not. DH spent another hour on the phone with them Friday night, to no avail. All I have now is the cable guide listing - I can see what I'm missing on TV, still no phone or Internet.
I've come to the conclusion that I'm addicted to Blogging, I can't believe that I've missed so much and have to catch up. If I have to be addicted to something I guess this is a good thing! Hopefully by Friday our new carrier will have everything hooked up and I'll be back with all of you. Until then - take care. ~Ann

I know what you mean, we have been without internet for two weekends over the last few months and I thought I would go CRAZY! Friday night we were without it again, where we live we have no choice but the system that we have so there is no chance of a better server.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!

I feel for you Ann:) So far I've never lost the internet since I've started blogging but I couldn't find my charger for my camara since last Friday and I was going nuts until Chris picked one up for me:)

I know how you feel, Ann! My office laptop DIED on Saturday morning! I was at Office Depot in a flash and got a new one that is mine all mine. I was getting withdrawl symptoms after just a few hours! ~terry
ReplyDeleteAnn...I feel ya, girlfriend! My laptop went out on March 9. It was less then 3 years old and the fan motor burned up, which took out everything...AARRGGGHHH! I have done all our banking and paying bills via internet for over 9 years because we traveled around and that was the only way to do it. Never had a problem. Anyway, I ordered a new PC and it took over 2 weeks to come so I didn't get my new computer until April 6th. What a pain in the neck that whole ordeal was! I am definitely investing in another computer as a backup in case something happens again. Good luck. We have 2 carriers here in rural PA and we are in the process of switching over from this ridiculously priced company to the other but it is such a hassle!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I tell hubby that I could live without television and the internet. Of course he doesn't realize how miserable we'd both be if I had to live without them. I stagger into the computer room with a cup of coffee first thing every morning to see what's happening in the cyber world.
ReplyDeleteHope they get everything fixed up for you real soon.
We lost our internet on a Thursday and they didn't get it repaired until the following Wednesday. It seems that the cable line had breaks in it and the rain got inside the line. This rusted the whole line. They think that the squirrels in the tree where the line runs through chomped on the line and that's how the water got into it. I was miserable without my cable.
ReplyDeleteOh Ann - I feel for you - it's like you lose a lifeline when the net goes down! Just know all your internet friends will be here waiting for you with a smile! joanne
ReplyDeleteWithout the internet, I don't know where I would be. I do just about everything with it, pay bills, stay in contact with friends. TV, I could probably do with out, but internet?????
